 Corona Virus Update 25/8/20

Dear Club Members

At a recent committee meeting it was agreed that the Club would reopen to members for 4 days each week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with effect from September 3rd 2020.
In line with Welsh Government guidelines strict social distancing protocols will be in place.
These will include:
a limit on the number of members who can attend the club
Social distancing (2 metre rule) between members or member family groups
No guests or children are able to visit the club I.e. strictly members only.
Standing or sitting at the bar will not be allowed other than for the serving of drinks that are to then be consumed at the designated tables.
A “track and trace” system will be in place and appropriate details will need to be provided on entering the club. These details will be stored for 3 weeks then destroyed.
The approach to the bar will be suitably marked out to aid social distancing.
Only one member can use the toilet area at any one time.
Hand sanitiser will be available for use when entering the club or using the toilet facilities.
A maximum of 5 people can use the pool room upstairs at any one time.
The above are the main points for members to be aware of although there may be other small changes to the way you used the club prior to the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The protocols are being introduced to help keep both members and the committee members who serve the club safe from possible infection by the virus.
The Tote and Bonus ball will begin again on Saturday September 5th with envelopes from March posted in the Tote box being valid for 5th September draw. Monies paid in advance for the bonus ball will also  be carried over to future weeks.
To assist the club in implementing the above protocols the club is looking for volunteers to act as Marshals. Duties will include taking of Track and Trace details, allocating seating, ensuring safe distancing is adhered to and cleaning of tables as and when members leave the club. As this could be thirsty work some refreshment may be allocated to those volunteering.
We thank the members in anticipation of their adherence to these guidelines and look forward to welcoming you all back to the Club.
The Committee
